The Jeffrey Manufacturing Company based in Columbus, Ohio was a leading producer of mining, conveying, and heavy industrial equipment for nearly 100 years. The Company designed and built material handling products for a variety of uses, such as coal mining, farming, amusement park rides, earth-moving, lumber mills, and food processing.

In 1876 Joseph A. Jeffrey and others formed a partnership to build the world's first coal mining machines. That business eventually became The Jeffrey Manufacturing Company. The Company later expanded by acquiring Galion Iron Works, a maker of road-building machinery. In 1974 the Company sold its operating assets to Dresser Industries.
